The annual Red Mass will take place October 6, 2015 at 5:15 p.m. at Holy Name Cathedral (735 N State St, Chicago, IL 60610). It is a Mass celebrated annually in the Catholic Church for judges, attorneys, law school professors, students, and government officials. Originating in Europe during the Middle Ages, the Red Mass is so called from the red vestments traditionally worn in symbolism of the Holy Spirit. Its name also exemplifies the scarlet robes worn by royal judges that attended the Mass centuries ago. All Advocates Society members are welcome to attend.
